Various forms of animation were used in these Russian-made films designed to introduce children and young adults to these plays. Actors from the Royal Shakespeare Company and stars of stage and screen provided voices for the characters. Antony Sher, Joss Ackland, Jenny Agutter and others were recorded by BBC Wales in the production of The Tempest, A Midsummer Night's Dream, As You Like It, Hamlet, Julius Caesar, Richard III, Romeo & Juliet, Othello, The Winter's Tale, Macbeth, The Taming of the Shrew and Twelfth Night. Long unavailable to the public, these films have been digitally remastered, with picture and sound enhancement. They have English subtitles for the hearing impaired. 4 DVD films.
